How Paktli Went From Farmer’s Markets to Nationwide Sprouts Launch with Product & Prosper

 

Paktli Foods:Seena's childhood joy, Mexico's vibrant street foods, inspired Paktli: a reimagined alegria, blending ancient grains, organic chocolate, and dried fruits into a bite-sized, nostalgic snack for all.

  

Before: Selling through farmers markets and small local retailers, transitioning to a co-packer and new bite-sized product format.

How we did it:

We began by refining Paktli's brand positioning, moving away from the vague "ancient grain snack" to a compelling story that tied their innovation to cultural heritage. To support this repositioning, we rewrote their website copy to align with the new messaging, advised on packaging copy and design, created a comprehensive pitch deck for buyers and competitions, optimized their Faire profile, and developed outreach messaging. We also guided their pricing strategy for the new product format. 

 This new narrative was tested across multiple channels:

  1. Micro-tested on DTC 
  2. Presented to buyers
  3. Used in pitch competitions (including Sprouts Innovation and KeHE's trend finder)

The strength of this new positioning contributed to: 

  • A successful pitch to the Sprouts Innovation Set, securing a nationwide launch in October
  • Selection as one of eight finalists for PepsiCo's prestigious Greenhouse Accelerator Program
  • Winning a highly coveted free Expo booth in the competitive Startup CPG section.
